Tracking

Once your visa application has been submitted, the visa tracking system will generate a unique reference number (URN) to monitor the status of your application.
Please remember to enter your email address in the appropriate field of the Visa Application Form and make sure that is accurate and legible.
The same number will be printed on the invoice for the proof of payment. If you submit your application through an agent, please make sure that the number is communicated to you.
To verify the status of your visa application, please click here or visit the page of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Korea.

Processing Time

Processing times may vary depending on:

  • Visa type

  • Complexity of the documentation

  • Completeness and accurateness of documents

  • Need to interview

  • Seasonal demand

Currently the Korean Embassy in Ulaanbaatar needs 60 working days to process a visa application. Please consider this when planning for your visa.

In cases of emergency, the Embassy may consider expediting the review process provided there is a reasonable and attestable reason. Please provide a detailed explanation when submitting the application.

Passport Return

Once you have been notified that a decision has been made, your passport will be returned to you.

When submitting your visa application, you can choose to collect your passport:

  • Via a delegate, after completing the appropriate authorization letter

  • Via courier (for an additional fee), after completing the appropriate courier form

Please be aware that you must choose passport return via courier when submitting your application. You will not be able to request courier service once an application has been processed.
